Swann Morton blades non sterile nr 22
The nr. 22 is a large version of the nr. 10 blade with a curved cutting edge and a flat, unsharpened rear edge. Used for skin incisions in both cardiac and thoracic surgery and to cut the bronchi in lung resection surgery. Larger than the No.20 and No.21, the No.22 fits on handles 4. Not only the surgeons use Swann Morton products, but also dentists, vets and Pedicures.

How to use the Swann Morton blades
How to use a surgical knife used can determine how effectively it performs during use. There are a number of ways in which the cutting edge of a knife can be damaged after it has been removed from its protective foil package.
When removing a knife from its protective package, make sure it is not placed in a metal bowl or container is dropped as this may reduce the initial sharpness of the cutting edge even before it is attached to the handle. If you need to use pliers or a needle holder to remove the blade from its protective packaging, be careful not to grab the blade over the cutting edge.
