What is isopropyl alcohol?
Isopropyl Alcohol is a synthetically manufactured product and has a great dissolving power. Our isopropyl alcohol is of pharmaceutical quality and is 99.9 percent pure. This alcohol is also called isopropyl, Isopropanol, Isopropylalcohol IPA, dimethyl carbinol, cleaning alcohol or rubbing alcohol.
Who is isopropyl alcohol intended for?
Isopropyl alcohol is widely used both commercially (cleaning companies, healthcare institutions, SMEs) and simply by consumers in the household. Degros BV is one of the few wholesalers where consumers can also simply order.
What do you use isopropyl alcohol for?
- Isopropyl alcohol is a widely used household solvent, for example for cleaning eyeglass lenses, car windows, racing bikes etc. Use nitrile gloves to protect your hands.
- Widely used in caulking as a pre-treatment.
- Ideal for removing adhesive residues.
- Cleaning LPs (CAUTION! dilute with water 1:3).
- Cleaning print surfaces in the graphics industry.

- Printer cartridge cleaner. To keep your printer in good condition, you must clean it regularly. Using a cotton swab soaked in alcohol, you clean your printer cartridges. Better not to use on the print head or the spray head.
- Cleaner for your laptop with isopropyl alcohol. You can make your own cleaning solution by mixing one part isopropyl alcohol with one part water.
- Cleaning agent for crystal chandeliers. With a cleaning solution consisting of 25% isopropanol and 75% distilled water.

Isopropyl alcohol and weed oil
We regularly receive the question whether this alcohol is suitable for making weed oil. We ourselves are not experts in the field of making weed oil. However, our isopropyl alcohol is often used for making weed oil. If you want to know how Rick Simpson does this, read the recipe for RSO here on RollingStoned.nl. Of course, the choice is up to everyone whether they consider isopropyl alcohol suitable for making weed oil.
Sharply priced
The price per liter that you pay with us is generally much lower than, for example, at regular stores such as Kruidvat, GAMMA, HORNBACH, Praxis, Trekpleister etc. Also in Belgium we are the number 1 supplier of isopropyl alcohol.
