A number of practical (honey) tips for use
- in acute wounds (abrasions, cuts, abrasions), the wound should always be rinsed clean and sand and dirt are removed. There is a misunderstanding that a disinfectant / antibacterial agent is the solution for this. Apply the antibacterial agent only after this cleaning.
- impregnated ointment gauzes are widely used, but stick to the wound due to the drying out of, among other things, exudate. By applying the Mesitran ointment or gel underneath, you get an active wound treatment, it has a preventive effect against infection and it no longer adheres to the wound.
- every wound deserves a fast uncomplicated healing, in a moist wound environment, good bacterial protection and a thin comfortable bandage. For example, an island plaster (Kliniplast Border) with the addition of the Mesitran ointment or gel often works wonders and offers the patient a lot of comfort at a lower cost.
- Treat fingertip injuries (in children!) with a grease gauze containing Mesitran gel and Singlefix, which comfortably protects the finger (against bumps, dirt and bacteria) and optimally fixes the bandage. research has shown that athlete's foot and fungal nails can be effectively combated with the combination of Mesitran ointment and MycoCure.
