Cuticell Classic, non-adherent wide-meshed cotton gauze impregnated with paraffin; for superficial, exuding wounds.
The ointment compress keeps the wound supple and protects against adhesion. The dressing transfers exudate to secondary dressing. The ointment compress is for that phase where protection of newly formed wound surface is the primary goal. The compress is permeable to air and secretions.
